PUBLIC SPEAKING

I'm a talker. I'll admit it. But sometimes my love for speaking and passion for telling stories comes in handy. Below are three speeches I gave in public speaking. One is a persuasive speech, the other a informative and the final is a "This I Believe" speech. The following demonstrates my ability to not only fill time and space with words, but create meaning and a new understanding of everyday topics.

Persuasive Speech

THE POWER OF PEACEFUL PROTEST

In this speech, I work to persuade my audience of the power of peaceful protests. More specifically, the power that everyone in my audience has to make change. I spent a lot of time structuring my argument and finding ways to relate my information back to my audience.

Informative Speech

DEMI LOVATO IS A MENTAL HEALTH CRUSADER

In this public speaking example, I tell the story of Demi Lovato and her journey. I use a creative hook and multiple examples in order told illustrate her story as she became a mental health advocate.

I BELIEVE IN THE 5 SECOND RULE

In public speaking, I was asked to tell a story of own for my first speech in order to demonstrate what I believe in. I spoke about a unique experience I had and stance on the "five second rule." I received full credit for this speech.
