HI THERE,

I’m Marissa, a list-maker, time manager, event producer and writer/reporter. I care a lot about making an impact. I center my work around this. Whether helping inform folks with information they need to move through the world; making room for those on the margins to feel seen, heard and represented (in media/journalism and otherwise); or creating space and opportunity for joy.

At The 19th News, I produce events to do just that — from financial workshops to promote economic mobility to an interviews leaders to celebrate pride and heritage months. Before working The 19th, I produced, reported and wrote for WTTW News Chicago Tonight, and helped found DePaul’s online magazine where I was editor-in-chief.

I’m always looking for new ways to use my skills to make an impact.
